Jaime Moreno


Jaime Moreno Llorena posee un doctorado Ingeniería Informática y Telecomunicaciones por la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (España). En la actualidad es Profesor Contratado Doctor en el Departamento de Ingeniería Informática de esta universidad y ha trabajado desde 1989 en el uso de Tecnologías de Información y Comunicación (TIC) en diversas áreas.

Comenzó su actividad de I + D en Fundesco (Fundación de Telefónica para el Desarrollo Social de las Comunicaciones) en el uso de las TIC para personas con discapacidad y para formación, y luego como investigador en el Centro Científico de IBM-UAM en el uso de las TIC para sistemas multimedia interactivos, publicaciones electrónicas y el almacenamiento digital de los archivos y bibliotecas. Posteriormente, trabajó para las empresas del sector de las TIC durante varios años: en el proveedor de servicios Internet (ISP) Servicom como webmaster y creador de muchos de los primeros sitios web comerciales españoles, en la empresa ABS Consulting, donde colaboró en el diseño y la implementación de varios ISPs, y en el Grupo Prisa (grupo de comunicación de masas español), donde tomó parte en el desarrollo y operación de las publicaciones Web y servicios digitales de masas.

Desde su incorporación a la UAM en 2001 ha trabajado en el campo de Interacción Persona Ordenador (HCI), Trabajo Colaborativo Asistido por Ordenador (CSCW), Aprendizaje Colaborativo Asistido por Ordenador (CSCL), así como Gestión de Conocimiento (KM), todos ellos utilizando Internet y la Web como plataformas.
