Javier Gómez

Javier Gómez is an associate professor at the Department of Computer Engineering of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, where he received his PhD. in Computer Science and Telecommunication in 2015. During 2018, he was an ERCIM "Alain Bensoussan" postdoctoral fellow at Institutt for datateknologi og informatikk (IDI), NTNU. During his fellowship, he worked under the supervision of Prof. Letizia Jaccheri.

His research focuses on assessing how new and mobile technologies can provide assistance to people with cognitive disabilities. To do that, he works in narrow collaboration with therapists and doctors from CEADAC and educators from the Madrid’s Down Syndrome Foundation, ALENTA and Fundación Juan XXIII Roncalli.

Further information about his current and past projects can be found also at the Ambient Intelligence Laboratory website.
